PANJIT Group Sponsors MakeNTU 2026 36-Hour Makerathon

Exploring the Future of AI and Intelligent Robotics with Young Talent

PANJIT International Inc., together with its subsidiary MetaWells Co., Ltd., joined the “MakeNTU 2026 36-Hour Makerathon,” organized by the National Taiwan University Electrical Engineering Student Association, and sponsored the PANJIT Corporate Challenge. Under the theme “Driving AI, Sensing the Future,” the challenge encouraged students to explore innovative applications in AI, sensing, intelligent control, and robotics.
Recognized as one of Taiwan’s representative student maker events, MakeNTU 2026 brought together close to 200 students from 16 universities, with nearly 40 teams developing and showcasing their projects within 36 hours. The event featured topics including AI applications, intelligent control, robotics systems, sensing technologies, and hardware-software integration, highlighting the creativity and engineering capabilities of young talent.
This year’s PANJIT Corporate Challenge focused on intelligent applications for dexterous robotic hands. Participating teams utilized core components and development resources provided by PANJIT to design innovative intelligent drive systems. Project themes included a “Voice-Controlled Dexterous Hand,” “Turkish Ice Cream Machine,” “Multi-Function Self-Balancing Vehicle,” “Safety Fault Warning Vehicle,” “Automatic Component Sorting and Gripping Arm,” and “Mr. Crocodile’s Dentist,” demonstrating diverse applications combining AI, sensing, and intelligent control technologies.
The first prize was awarded to the “Voice-Controlled Dexterous Hand” project, developed by a team from the Arete Honors Program at NYCU. By integrating voice control functions with MetaWells motor control ICs, the team demonstrated innovative applications in intelligent control and human-machine interaction.
Through participation in MakeNTU, PANJIT Group aims to continue supporting campus innovation and talent development while encouraging young talent to transform creative ideas into practical applications through industry-academia collaboration.
